Please continue praying for all the families that have recently lost loved ones, those who are sick and shut in, and their caregivers. Cards of condolence may be sent to the families. Check the Church Directory, call the building, or stop by the Administrative Office for the address.

Grief Support and Life Services Forum

This month’s grief support and life services discussion forum will center on Christian counseling and Temperament Therapy as resources for our spiritual growth in areas of communication, loneliness, anger, and low self-esteem. What’s the Word Wednesday

Get ready for our next What’s The Word Wednesday on THIS Wednesday, July 22nd. This Bible study is designed for open dialogue and exploring the lives of characters in the Bible. This is for all teens, ages 13-17!

Soul Talk

Calling all sisters! Join us for Sister Soul Talk on Friday, July 24 at 6:30pm. Come for a time of fellowship, fun, prayer, and scripture, and please bring a friend!

Leadership Installation Weekend

Please join us for Leadership Installation Weekend, held August 1 and 2! We will have Bro. Charlie McClendon of the Northside Church of Christ (Jacksonville, Florida) as our guest speaker for the weekend.

There will be a leadership workshop on Saturday, August 1, from 9am to 2pm, with lunch provided. On Sunday, August 2, we will have Bible class at 9am, worship service at 10:30am, and our Leadership Installation Service at 3pm, where we will celebrate the installation of our elder candidates, Bro. Archie Veale and Bro. Derrick Lindsey.

Please make plans to attend this special weekend of worship, encouragement, and fellowship.

Community Outreach Day

Community Outreach Day will be Saturday, August 8, 10am-3pm. Join us as we serve our community by providing health screenings, school supplies, haircuts, clothing, and more! We are currently accepting new or gently used, clean clothing donations.

We need your help to make this a huge success! We’re looking for volunteers to help run various stations, including concessions stand, basketball booth, bounce house, and slide. We have two shifts available to accommodate your schedule: morning shift (7am – 12pm) and afternoon shift (12pm – 4pm).

Weekly planning meetings are being held every Wednesday at 5:30 PM in the Woodridge Road Fellowship Hall as we prepare. We encourage everyone to get involved!

If you’re interested in being a part of this exciting outreach event, please speak to Sis. Judith Veale, Bro. Emmanuel Rupert, or Bro. Goode. Let’s come together to serve and bless our community!

Vacation Bible School

Mark your calendars! This year’s VBS will be held Monday, August 10-Wednesday, August 12. Dinner will be provided at 6pm, and the event will begin at 6:45pm.

Our Vacation Bible School is just around the corner — August 10 to August 12 — and this year’s theme is Built to Last: Building Strong Families in Christ! Join us each night starting at 6pm. We’ll have dinner nightly at 6pm and classes at 6:45pm. Please sign up using the QR code in the flyer or by clicking the button below.

Additionally, we need moderators, set-up/clean-up crews, food prep, and overall support staff. If you are interested in getting involved, please attend the informational Zoom meeting on Thursday, July 23 at 7:30pm.

Farewell and Appreciation Luncheon

Our Farewell and Appreciation Luncheon for the Rupert family will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2-6pm. We invite everyone to join us as we celebrate their years of faithful service, express our appreciation for all they have done for our congregation, and wish them God’s blessings as they begin their next chapter.

Labor Day Picnic

We are having a Big Festive Labor Day Picnic this year. Please feel free to bring your favorite dish, cakes, pies or treats to share! Remember to bring a friend.

Golf Tournament

An exciting ‘first’ is coming to the congregation on Friday, September 11th: our Inaugural Golf Tournament! The Central Church of Christ Youth Ministry will be sponsoring this event at Forest Park Golf Course from 8am to 4pm. Please note that this is a smoke and alcohol free event.

Bro. Crawley is leading the charge and is looking for a team to help execute this event. Also, business owners and entrepreneurs: we need you! We have several sponsorship opportunities that will provide great marketing for your business while supporting our kids.

Central’s Ladies Day

Ladies, save the date for Central’s Ladies Day on Saturday, September 12. The event will be held 8am-2pm and will center around Jeremiah 17:7-8 and Proverbs 31:25-26, featuring speakers Sis. Ira Booker, Sis. Mariel Reed, and Sis. Mya Nuton. Register using the button below!

We encourage all ladies aged 10 and older to register. Please invite your family, friends, neighbors, and members of the community to join us for our first Ladies Day! It will be a wonderful day filled with praising the Lord, fellowship, encouragement, and having fun together as women of God.

Christian Counseling Ministry

Central’s Christian Counseling Ministry offers a safe and confidential space for healing and for addressing personal and spiritual growth. Our vision is to enable self-understanding and a biblical approach for dealing with life issues. Four (4) FREE sessions are available.

New Members Class
Central members who were baptized from January 2022 to the present are encouraged to take part in the New Members Class, held every Sunday at 9am in the Woodridge Road Fellowship Hall. It is designed to address the particular spiritual needs of new Christians by rooting and grounding them in the faith as they begin their walk with the Lord. The teachers are Bro. Albert Goode, Bro. Derrick Lindsey and Bro. Archie Veale.
Mid-Week Bible Studies

We have in-person and virtual Bible studies available throughout the week:

Tuesdays
10am: Community Bible Study, held on Zoom
7pm: Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies, held on Zoom (excluding the last Tuesday of the month, when they are held in-person)

Wednesdays
7pm: General Bible Study (in-person, with option to view live on YouTube or Facebook)
